The brief for this was to design two magazine spreads for the On White Space In Graphic Design article. My concept for the spreads was quite literally using white space; “the absence of content”. I screen printed transparent glossy ink onto matt black and white pages creating a subtle finish. The ink is best seen when light reflects off of the gloss and the text is revealed. I loved the outcome of this, it took lots and lots of experimentation with paper stock and printer ink of which the design was printed with also.
